Here are answers to some common questions about starting therapy with Chosen Path Wellness.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is therapy?
Therapy is a safe, confidential space to talk about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences with a trained professional who helps you gain insight and make changes.
What can I expect in a first session?
We’ll talk about what brings you in, your history, and your goals. You can also ask any questions about how I work.
How long is each session?
Sessions are typically 45–50 minutes unless we agree on a different length ahead of time.
How often will we meet?
Most clients start with weekly sessions. We can adjust frequency based on your needs and schedule.
Do you take insurance?
I accept some insurance plans. Please reach out so we can review your specific coverage.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. What you share stays private, with a few legal exceptions related to safety, which I’ll explain in our first session.
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations or no‑shows may be charged a $75 cancellation fee.
Do you offer in‑person sessions?
No, I currently do not offer in‑person sessions. All sessions are held online.
What is a consultation?
A consultation is a brief initial meeting where we talk about what you’re looking for, I share how I work, and we decide together if we’re a good fit before you commit to ongoing sessions.
How do I get started?
You can book through the consultation link on my site, and I’ll help you choose the best next step.
